Texting and driving is breaking the law in Pennsylvania.
Texting has become one of the if not the most popular ways for people to communicate through technology, but almost every day in the news there are stories about driving accidents caused by drivers texting while their cars are in motion. Just one quick glance at your phone means that you have taken your eyes off the road and in that second you could veer into traffic or fail to respond in enough time to avoid an accident. Lives are being ruined by texting and driving.
This problem is not limited to teenagers and young adults. People of all ages are texting and driving, and states are now putting laws into effect to punish those drivers who are texting. Some states are even considering laws that will punish people who text their friend or family members when they know that person is driving.
While police will be issuing tickets for violations, the real punishment will be a life-time of pain and agony for survivors of family members killed due to someone texting while driving.
Do not ever text and drive. You could kill yourself and someone else.
A texting driver is 23 times more likely to get into a crash than a non-texting driver.
